Hi, I'm Viviana!
I was born in the central highlands of Peru, where my love for school and nature blossomed equally. I’m a passionate entrepreneur and mom to Yanay (7) and Amaru (5). I’ve got a deep passion for family, community building, moms supporting moms, cooking, and growing food.
Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats as an educator, community organizer, and educational programmer. I earned my initial degrees in California and completed my MA in Social Science through the Global Studies Program, which took me to Germany, South Africa, and India. These global experiences shaped my work in areas such as immigration, indigenous rights, social movements, independent media, sustainable development, and urban agriculture.
Before taking maternity leave, I worked with many communities to help residents gain access to healthy affordable food, learn where food comes from, and how to prepare it. I loved creating programs that helped young children, parents, and teachers grow, prepare healthy food, and reconnect with food traditions and respect for nature. It was deeply enriching to inspire the next generation of conscious consumers and encourage them to question the inequalities present in food desserts.
This 100% women-owned business represents the culmination of my diverse experiences - working in food service, leading education-based programs to community organizing, advocacy, and event planning. It also brings together my passion for connecting with my community and celebrates my greatest accomplishment yet – being a mom!
My passion is driven by a deep connection to life and people, grounded in four core values: love, respect, empathy, and reciprocity. I also draw inspiration from my heritage, coming from a long line of indigenous wisdom keepers, cooks, farmers, entrepreneurs, and community builders.
