Mausi (pronounced MAO-See) is the nickname our founder’s daughter, Yanay, gave to herself when she was 2 years old. In German, Mausi means little mouse, or sweet and tiny. Mausi is a very creative girl with a beautiful and unique imagination. Her stories have always brought her family much joy. At age 2, Mausi’s little brother, Amaru, was born and she started calling him ‘Little Bear’ because he was a beautiful chubby, warm, and snuggling baby who wore lots of onesies with bear designs.
Mausi’s endless imagination and Little Bear’s joyful energy have been the catalysts for us to imagine, dream and bring our KinderCafe to life, a place where we envision adults and children creating, engaging and thriving together.
