Mausi & Little Bear Kindercafé is partnering with Cafe Columbia to bring you a “CommUNITY Holiday Celebration." We hope you find beautiful gifts, created by local artisans and vendors; and that you learn about community resources for parents and entrepreneurs. We will also offer two engaging activities.

Activity 1: 2:00pm-2:30pm

Activity 2: 3:30pm - 4:00pm

Activity 1. At a cozy corner of the Cafe we will have story time with Meghan Narayan for kids between 3-6 years old. Meghan is a mother, educator and the author of A Little Bit of Everything. She has worked in public, charter, and private schools as an early childhood educator in NY and MD for over 10 years. Meghan offers resources and materials for those who are interested in raising children who are racially and socially conscious.

Activity 2. Once you grabbed your coffee, tea or a hot chocolate, join the conversation about Social Capital with Edward DeJesus. Edward is the Founder and CEO of Social Capital Builders, and a leading expert on social capital in the United States. Social Capital builders is dedicated to serving all communities, especially those that have been severely impacted by racism, systematic inequities, and years of under misrepresentation. His mission is to raise the social capital literacy and connections of 1 million youth and adults by 2025.
